We LOVE weddings.
Your distant relatives and acquaintances are more likely to call and congratulate you on your engagement; rather than on any other occasion. You might even work your arse off and achieve so much in your studies, work or in any other field, and you wouldn’t hear a word from them.

I’m a recently and happily engaged Saudi woman in her mid 20s. Marriage has never been on the top of my to-do list, but a twist of fate resulted in me ending up with one of my closest friends.
However, one of the things I despise most in this world is the “typical Saudi weddings”. What are “typical Saudi weddings”? And why do I hate them so much?
